What changed
Lakeland crews started a new storm sewer installation on the south side of Rose Street between Ingraham Avenue and South Lake Avenue on Monday, Oct. 12. The westbound lane is closed through the work zone while the project is underway.
The city says a detour is posted, and drivers and pedestrians should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. The work is expected to take about three months, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Where to check before you go
The project also appears on Lakeland’s current road projects page as an active city job, which is a good place to check for updates before heading through that corridor.
