Free Asian Night Market Takes Over Munn Park Saturday

Downtown Lakeland gets a full day of Asian street food, night-market shopping and live performances this Saturday, when the Lakeland Downtown Foodie World Asian Food Festival sets up in Munn Park from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and the event is built for families, with organizers calling it one of Lakeland's largest Asian cultural celebrations.
The festival, billed as the Lakeland Asian Night Market, is organized by Saigon Night Market and takes over the park at 201 E Main St., right in the heart of downtown. Gates open at 10:30 a.m., a half hour ahead of the official start, giving early arrivals a jump on the food lines before the crowds build.

Expect a mix of authentic Asian food vendors, specialty drinks, and desserts alongside night-market shopping stalls. Organizers say the entertainment lineup includes live music, karaoke, and cultural performances running throughout the eleven-hour event. It's all listed as suitable for all ages.
Getting there
Parking around Munn Park is paid, so plan on feeding a meter or using a nearby paid lot rather than counting on free street parking. Downtown Lakeland's usual weekend crowd for Munn Park events tends to fill nearby spaces early, so arriving closer to the 10:30 a.m. gate time gives visitors better odds of parking within walking distance.
There's no cost to get in, but with food, drinks, and shopping vendors on site, bringing cash or a card for purchases is worth planning for. The event runs the full day into the evening, so families can drop by for lunch, come back for dinner, or make a whole afternoon and evening of it downtown.
Note: The festival runs Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Munn Park, 201 E Main St., Lakeland. Admission is free; parking is paid.
