Concord Coffee's Fourth Lakeland Shop Opens Inside the City's New Hospital
The locally roasted coffee brand has opened a café inside Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital, giving patients, staff and visiting families a familiar hometown option steps from the lobby.

Concord Coffee has opened its fourth Lakeland location, this one tucked inside the lobby area of Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road. The homegrown coffee roaster's move into the city's newest and biggest medical building means patients, staff and families waiting on news down the hall now have a familiar local name for their coffee run instead of a generic hospital vending machine.
The café brings Concord's craft drinks and rotating seasonal menu into a hospital that itself only just opened. Orlando Health and Watson Clinic welcomed patients to the facility on July 8, 2026, calling it Lakeland's first new hospital in more than a century. The campus sits on nearly 80 acres and includes more than 300 patient beds, dozens of emergency room beds, operating rooms, and a labor and delivery unit, according to hospital officials.
For Concord, the hospital café is a fourth outpost in a city where the brand already has a following. Its flagship shop sits at 1037 S Florida Ave, and the company has built a name locally as a roaster, not just a retailer, sourcing and roasting its own beans in Lakeland.
Why a coffee shop inside a hospital matters
Hospital cafés are usually an afterthought: a cart, a chain kiosk, maybe a vending machine near the ICU. Putting a well-known local roaster inside the lobby instead is a small decision with an outsized effect on the people who spend the most time there. Night-shift nurses, families camped out during a surgery, a patient's spouse who hasn't left the building in two days. All of them now have a coffee shop that Lakeland already knows, rather than a brand with no local ties.
It also says something about how Orlando Health and Watson Clinic are trying to make the new campus feel like part of the community rather than a corporate medical box dropped onto Lakeland Highlands Road. The hospital's lobby already includes a history wall highlighting Watson Clinic's roots in Lakeland. A local coffee counter fits the same idea: make a huge new building feel like it belongs here.
- Concord Coffee's fourth Lakeland-area location is inside Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital, 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road.
- The hospital opened to patients July 8, 2026, on a nearly 80-acre campus.
- Concord's flagship shop remains at 1037 S Florida Ave.
Neither Concord Coffee nor hospital officials have released café hours or a full opening-week menu for the new location. Watson Clinic has said the broader Lakeland Highlands campus, which also includes a nearby medical office building and surgery center, will keep adding services in the months ahead, so the coffee counter likely won't be the last new addition to the property.
